First, Afghanistan and Pakistan trade ministers agree to a pact that will bring greater cooperation and economic bond between the two nations.

“"Bringing Islamabad and Kabul together has been a goal of this administration from the beginning," said Richard Holbrooke, the U.S. special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.”This is a vivid demonstration of the two countries coming closer together.""

"“In addition, U.S. officials have also expressed concerns about Pakistan's plans for a deal with China that would give energy-starved Pakistan two new nuclear power plants. Critics said transferring the reactors would violate international nonproliferation agreements.”"

Furthermore there continues to be China and Pakistan nuclear issues.

With Holbrooke sniffling in the background someone might have heard Hillary say, “Oh that, we’ll get to that on the next trip after the wedding. Now let me get to the throat of Karzai.”

This is what Americans do.Weren't chemical weapons supplied to saddam to be used against the Kurds and Iranians?Hold your horses for a while and await pakistan's upgradation from falied state to rogue state.Without resolution of Pak-Afghan embrolgio,Iran can not be attcked as both countries border with Iran.

Nuclear power makes good sense,no doubt.Who knows better than Iran and North Korea.

@tkkidwai   yes nk's starvation and persecution of own people and about half a million refugees thanks to nuclear threat makes good sense. iran doesn't need nuclear threat to dominate own people islam doing just fine.                                                             "According to UNHCR,Iranian refugees comprise 19% of the total registered refugee population in Turkey. Since the Islamic Revolution Iranians have been seeking refuge in foreign countries in large numbers. UNHCR Global Trends Report paints a dire picture for the year 2010- 2011. fter June 12, 2009 election, the regime launched a series of operations to identify and track down those who participated in demonstrations. Worried that stories of torture, rape and harassment might reach a wider audience, the regime has positioned thousands of plain-clothed intelligence officers throughout Turkey and neighboring countries to actively track, attack and intimidate Iranian refugees. It is estimated that between 1993 and 1998 alone, more than 2,000 Iranian asylum seekers were sent back, many of them were arrested, tortured, sentenced or executed in Iran. "

@anymoose(not verified). What is your worry or concern about Iran.If Iranians want to go nuclear,it is their business, not of bloody US imperialists.Where were these blood thirsty US imperialists when Suharto was killing hundreds and thousands of Indonesians,Zia-Ul-Haque of Pakistan let loose reign of terror in pakistan, and Saudi Arabia voilated human rights?

While quoting figures of Iranian refugees, keep in mind the numbers of those killed in Iraq, are being killed on regular basis in Afghanistan and Pakistan.Iranians are at least alive to seek asylum and migrate.Leave Iranians to Iran. That shouldn't be any one's business.Iranians have no agenda of global occupation, nor intervene in another countries to impose Iranian brand theocracy.

your nonsense rant shows what you don't know about iranian interference in other country affairs. as for american imperialism i guess it is as you want to interpret. for iran going nuclear big deal but nuclear power don't make you a threat to the world as you assumed in your post and that it keeps free from attack. pakistan has nuclear power and al-qaeda attacks regularly and go about like it is homeland. the talk that u.s didn't nothing one place so should do nothing in another at a new and different time is the talk of immature and two faced. you anti-american and whine when nothing is done and whine when anything is done. to bad like good whine you did not mature with age. lol.

I think all nations have the option to develop nuclear power. I also believe it requires a high state of international regulation and cooperation. When the waste starts piling up, and unfortunate accidents and disasters occur, they may well spoil a neighboring state as well as the host.

When it comes to nuclear weapons, it is the United States' interest, especially when states like Iran fail to cooperate and abide by international regulations. In addition, when the people elect representatives that shoot their mouths off as much as George Bush did, they are asking for bloody trouble.

merit objective.  you rant against  all encompassing conspiracy "american imperialism" are subjective. you feel it to be so you hold as dogma. fact that every country work to influence the other you leave out to make "evil american empire" so are dishonest in post. pakistan since conception involved in afghanistan, kashmir, bangladesh and india. iran involved with afghanistan, iraq, lebanon, turkmenistan, azerbaijan and turkey. china is now exerting influence over the world.  take dogma for walk in fresh air and return with out khat. "american imperialism" is marxist ghost.
