Historian Howard Zinn has been asked questions on many occasions by the public, and although signing this Truth Statement in 2004 after the 9/11 Commission's omission and distortion filled report was released, more recently he has said "I don't know enough about it (the 9/11 conspiracy) and the truth is I don't much care, that's past.", and when questioned about these comments at a later appearance, said that the truth about 9/11 has "no practical political significance." Imagine that; a historian says the "day that changed everything", that divided the world into "pre-9/11" and "post-9/11", that we've never been given answers to 70% of the questions that the 9/11 Familiy Steering Committee raised, or the many questions that have been raised since as additional facts have come to light- has no "practical political significance."

Steve Watson reports on Zinn's statements and delivers a blistering critique of Zinn's statements and attitude, pointing out the lack of accountability for 9/11, and outlining some of the many ways 9/11 has been used to change the United States, the world, history and reality.

Just days after left-wing anti-war icon Howard Zinn told an audience that he didn’t care if 9/11 was an inside job, he has repeated the sentiment, stating that questions regarding the attacks have "no practical political significance" and that 9/11 truth activists are "fanatics" who are wasting their time.

During a lecture at UQAM university in Montréal, Zinn was once again asked if he would support a new 9/11 investigation.

Zinn responded:

Interesting, because Erik Larson is identified as being in California and I was actually sitting in the eighth row of the UQAM theater, practically at arms length from Howard Zinn and I am very much aware of how incredibly distorted this summary of the event is. The amount of lying and broken telephone distortion in the "truth" movement is appalling. If these people had not diverted so much energy from the anti-war movement I might laugh.
