The current government in Honduras said it is open to holding early elections to resolve the power vacuum after President Manuel Zelaya was ousted.
The interim government head Roberto Micheletti says a referendum allowing Zelaya to serve the last few months of his term. The Organization of American States is readying to push for Zelaya's reinstatement.
Interim government head Roberto Micheletti said holding a referendum on bringing back the leftist president to serve out the last few months of his term was also possible, although it would be "difficult" to do so immediately.Conveying a more conciliatory tone than in recent days, Micheletti said he would be "in total agreement" with bringing forward a Nov. 29 presidential election to calm a storm of international condemnation of Sunday's military coup.

It's starting to sound like Roberto Micheletti has a brain & might alow for a fair election this fall, without a fight breaking out.

It sounds lilke the Tyranny is trying to buy time. Prior to the arrival liceof the General Secretrary, Inzulsa, there was an explosion at the airport in Honduras. Such detering act has not prevented OAS function nor has it scared the Human Right defender from Guatemala, Rigoberta Manchu, to travel to Honduras. IACHR has also asked for the protection of missing personnel of the Zelaya´s government. The time granted by OAS to the Micheletti dictatorship to give up power expires tomorrow. Thus, the country is getting rather convulsive.

You are most welcome to read all my posts. Please clarify readers wheter the KFC is near the Airport or elsewhere. Could you also confirm the visit of Guatemalan Human Right activist, Manchu, and the warm welcome of OAS Secretary General by pro Zelaya activists. Finally, disclose your identity as your comment looks like comming from a Honduran Tyranny official.

As I said earlier I wish you would stop posting about things you don't know about ! The grenade that rocked the KFC was in the city and the airport is 2.6 km away from there!
As far as the "warm welcome" it was not pro Zelaya but rather 70,000 people protesting the on going meddling by the international community to put a criminal and wanna be dictator back in power! Read and see all of it at www.elheraldo.hn an uncensored news agency here it what is still a free Honduras. Of course you will say that it is reported by supporters of "tyranny" but I have friends there who I have talked to, for confirmation!
I have registered with the site now so need need to worry I am just as legitimit as you are!
