It is hard to make something out of nothing. Martin Luther King is no act for Beck to follow and Palin chiming in just show how much Alaska’s favorite daughter has fallen. I am sure the hard core followers enjoyed the nice day at this historical site, but as for history-making, it was a non event.

Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin call for restoring honor at rally

Update 2:10 p.m. At the civil rights rally, about 3 miles from the Lincoln Memorial, the Rev. Al Sharpton mocked the Beck production, the Associated Press reports.

"The folks who used to criticize us for marching are trying to have a march themselves," he said. "We come because the dream has not been achieved. We've made a lot of progress. But we still have a long way to go."

Sharpton said he wasn't seeking a confrontation with those at the Beck rally during the march to the King memorial site. "We wouldn't disgrace today by allowing you to provoke us," he said in remarks directed at the Beck followers. "If people start heckling, smile at them," he told fellow marchers.

Update 1:30 p.m. Beck wrapped up his rally exhorting his followers to "use today to change your life."

He urged them not to let critics prove that they wasted their time coming to Washington. "It's what we do from here that matters," he said.

Without offering prescriptions, political or otherwise, he said, "If you restore honor in your own life, we will leave freedom better than we found it."”

"It is hard to make something out of nothing."  Well,  you tried your best.  And so did Al Sharpton and his hard core followers.

That event was a like a pentecostal tent revival with "give me that old time religion" crap.
