Three Osama bin Laden widows were interrogated by U.S. intelligence officers regarding their husband Osama bin Laden. When asked if they wanted to see the dead body photos each declined. The photos were only of his head on top of his shoulders and they were not memorable. The eldest woman is pictured here.
Three of Osama bin Laden's widows have been interviewed by U.S. intelligence officers under the supervision of Pakistani's intelligence service, according to sources in both governments. The women -- who were all interviewed together this week -- were "hostile" toward the Americans, according to a senior Pakistani government official with direct knowledge of the post-bin Laden investigation and two senior U.S. officials with direct knowledge of the matter. The eldest of the three widows spoke for the group.

They were "hostile towards the Americans".  Well, that's a huge surprise.

In there defence, wouldn't we all be a little hostile in that situation? Just picture the interaction. A cold, dark, concrete room, across the table is a foreigner in a dark suit, and possibly aviator glasses. He starts the interaction with "Ma'am, would you like to see some pictures we had taken of your husband after we got him? Sorry about all the pen marks, it was take your kids to work day and Johnson's son wanted to play connect the dots with our last copy of the photos. We'd been using them as post-cards and apparantly forgot to get more done up. Oh, you should take a look at this one here- he's still gooey!" It almost seems like a scene from a cheesy spy movie, or something by Quentin Terantino, some bastard offspring of Spy Hard and Resevoir Dogs...

Should have cleaned house in my opinion.

Yankee Jim you are saying that the US govt should have killed all the women and children in that compound. I think its time that the Pakistani writers and Muslims or Arabs alike know that you hate them.  You wanted the children and the women dead - That is what should have cleaned house in my opinion means...

I must agree on this one. I think that it was not a good thing to say. No war is good. People should love each other and help one another and not make destruction of everything we have built to help our communities.

That's a smart position to take.

While I agree, to a point, the fact remains that there will always be war. It is a sad fact, but it is a part of human nature. The best way to avoid war is to prepare for it... That is not to say pre-emptively invade other nations, but rather, to be prepared to defend ones own nation, and then take the fight to those who started it. Once war breaks out, innocent civilians should be protected, but wars will continue, at least for the foreseeable future. The Hitlers, Bin Ladens, and Saddam Husseins of the world have not gone anywhere, killing one only lets another spring up. The only way to stop them is to either marginalize them BEFORE they take power, which needs to be done within their own countries by their own people, or to be prepared to stand together and face them. Suicide bombers will not be placated with a hug, and neither will the men who sent them out…. But that does not mean their wives and children should become targets in revenge….
