House of Representatives condemn Goldstone
The US House of Representatives has condemned the UN Goldstone Report by an overwhelming majority, calling the report “one-sided and distorted”.
The representatives voted 344 to 36 to endorse a symbolic resolution to condemn the report which was highly critical of Israel’s conduct during the Gaza offensive early this year. Twenty-two of the delegates declined to vote.
The report will be discussed at the meeting of the United Nations General Assembly today in New York.
The US House of Representatives resolution, backed by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, urged President Barack Obama strongly to oppose any endorsement of the report by the United Nations.
"This resolution is blatantly biased and it damages U.S. credibility," said Democratic Representative Betty McCollum

United Nations Begins Debate on Gaza War Crimes Inquiry: The resolution’s calls for investigation are nonbinding, and no meaningful action is likely in the Security Council because the United States, which has opposed the report’s findings, has veto power on the panel.

November 05, 2009 "FPIF" -- In a stunning blow against international law and human rights, the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved a resolution on Tuesday attacking the report of the United Nations Human Rights Council's fact-finding mission on the Gaza conflict. The report was authored by the well-respected South African jurist Richard Goldstone and three other noted authorities on international humanitarian law, who had been widely praised for taking leadership in previous investigations of war crimes in Rwanda, Darfur, the former Yugoslavia, and elsewhere. Since this report documented apparent war crimes by a key U.S. ally, however, Congress has taken the unprecedented action of passing a resolution condemning it. Perhaps most ominously, the resolution also endorses Israel's right to attack Syria and Iran on the grounds that they are "state sponsors of terrorism."

I have seen with very sad eyes the autrosities ( the 2 Ehud's )commetted by the Isreal soldier's, Iwatched a 10 year old girl shot right through the heart at point blank range, she was smiling right into the assinin's eyes laughing as he shot her in the chest , proof of phosforrus bombs that burn you from the inside out being used in Gaza, holding a Palestinian's head to the ground as another soldier actually broke the person joints one after another. Many other criminal acts of volience against Palestinian people. President Obama should recognize Goldstone's investigation and bring these war crimes to light , we can't just allow war crimes to go on through out the civilized world unpunished.

Raymond, im glad someone is seeing past the Israeli lobbyists. The war on gaza was full of war crimes, chemical war crimes, and the use of human shields. Water has been cut off, food, medical supplies. There is a crisis in gaza and i am deeply saddened that my government voted the way it had. There are some of our officials that stood up against the attrocities and spoke out and i appluad them.If you would like to get active creating awareness on such international crisis visitwww.triggerusa.com
