I have a photo that was taken of a computer from a Federal Government Portal. While the USA is a diverse country, it appears that the Federal Government has a way of singling out the US Latin Community. While proud of being a US Citizen and proud of my Latin blood, many groups are not singled out in this way. It would be better if this suggestion is not even published or paraphrased differently.

Al, I am asked by census takers every ten years what race I am. When I applied for college, again I was asked what race I was. When I applied for a Govt position I was asked what race I was. When I became an EEO counselor for the US Govt I learned that my racial group was among the un- protected race groups. So if you would, could you clarify what this document is and what it is used for and why you feel that you are being singled out by being hispanic. My hope is that all of us will be looked at with blind eyes and deafness to our accents. I love America as well. We all know that folks prejudge us based on race. Heck, I have been called a racist because my heritage is Pennsylvannia Dutch. Folks assume many things about me based on the color of my skin and the political party I beling too. I am sure that I do not suffer like Hispanics and Blacks in America. All I know to do is treat others as I wish to be treated. Leave the campsite a bit better then I found it and promote true faith in America as true faith is color blind as Christ died for all.

It is discrimination to ask. Human should be enough. In the EU one is not even aloud to ask Gender question fro job application.

I would like to thank you for your comments. I took the photo from my cell phone camera. The webpage was http://employeeexpress.gov . The document was from my employee information in which I did not want to answer anything pertaining to race, ethnicity since it is irrelevant in the work environment.
The document simply said "You did not answer whether you are Hispanic or Latino". My response was to take the photo and then cancel. I just simply wish we could just identify ourselves as Americans. After all, America was founded on people have a choice regardless of origins.
