How are you affected?

So I've been reading up a lot about this whole financial crisis deal and I think to my self "how is this affecting me?" The answer- nothing, well, nothing that I can think of. Truth is, in my own little world here in Kunshan, I'm not seeing a lot happening. Prices for most things are cheaper now that they were before the crisis, my rent hasn't changed, nor do I find myself in debt. Perhaps I'm not understanding it, perhaps I am just clueless as to what's happening around me.

So I call on some of you out there to help me understand how this crisis is affecting you and what aspects of your finances are being hit. Is it people who have invested in stock? or is it the home owners? At the moment I am neither one.

And I would also like to know how worse those in the know think it's going to get. Are we heading to a complete global meltdown?? What damages can we expect of the future and what can we do to help protect ourselves.

Interesting perspective. It would actually be interesting to see a balanced numbers of reports from individuals around the globe and various trades ho all this is affecting them personally.

Well, like I said.. it doesn't seem to be affecting me personally. So that's why I'm interested in hearing from others. (hearing from people all over the world will definitely give us a sense on a global scale!)

Well, maybe we should make this a NP survey of sorts. I think it would be well worth wile. And give us an interesting look at what people think and feel and how they are affected.

The fiscal tsunami is offshore but that does not mean it is not headed your way. Why are you in such a rush to be affected - which you surely will be, anyhow??
