Is McCain trying to lose this election? His campaign staff can not stop apologizing and scolding Republicans, he put out this stupid ad with Paris and Britt Britt that sucked, and to top it off in an interview over the weekend he tells the Clintons ex over at ABC that “everything is on the table” when it comes to taxes. Maybe McCain should speak as little as possible from here to the election. This election is not about him anyway it is about Obama.

This is a referendum on Obama. Who is excited about McCain? Everyone is either excited about voting for Obama or determined to vote against him. The best thing McCain can do is travel with a pin that has Rev Wrights likeness around and not say anything. When he opens his mouth he makes people think that we might as well have Obama as POTUS. Message to Mccain shut up!

Quote:

“There is nothing that’s off the table. I have my positions, and I’ll articulate them. But nothing’s off the table,” McCain said. “I don’t want tax increases. But that doesn’t mean that anything is off the table.source

By saying "nothing is off the table" you bring people to discussion who normally would not come.

It is always good to listen to opinions that are diametrically opposed to your own. Often times you can then create a win win situation.

Thanks Groove, In my opinion McCain should stay away from "nothing is off the table" when the subject is taxes...He has enough problems as it is. He knows what the opinions are about taxes....His people back tracked real quick from this quote.

Sure !

This is what has always driven me nuts about politics. In business often one of the best tactics in any meeting is creating the win win situation.

Too often in my opinion political meetings are all or nothing affairs, or we'll give you this but you have to give us this other thing which has absolutly nothing to do with this issue or meeting.

Personally I'd rather see small steps, a willingness to listen and astute compromises that the all or nothing and pork barrel mentalities.
