Opinion: With President Bush's approval rating hovering in the 30s, just about everyone has an opinion on what George W. has done wrong in the past seven years. But not everyone can explain what the next president must do to fix it. So we've called in some experts to tell us. Fixing It is a 10-part series to be published over the course of the week by some of our favorite writers, offering detailed policy prescriptions for the next president, whoever that may be, on how to quickly undo some of the damage that's been wrought. One of our contributors wryly describes the series as "News You Can Use. If You Happen To Be President."

Bush's Approval rating is very poor I admit. Democrats won control of Congress in 2006. Did approval rating increase for congress? Nope, in fact at times it dropped to the lowest in history at 23% So we could say that Bush is 10%-14% more popular than the democratic led congress. I think folks on both sides are tired of government as usual. Republicans stopped being fiscal conservative, Bush didn't see a bill he didn't like, Democrats increased pork barrel spending to an all time high in the last two years. Corruption and scandle on both sides. I am looking forward to this series. I'd like to know what we should do!

I agree with you completely. It great to get some input from experts on what positive steps can be taken in the future.
