How Obama demonized Congress over his own spending

Mister President, blaming Congress just doesn't cut it anymore.

Every time the President is pressed by the news media to explain how the economy has remained sluggish and why the deficit is at a dangerous and unrecoverable tipping point, among other excuses, his pat answer is Congress is to blame. Congress didn’t let Obama have his 447 billion dollar jobs bill last fall when his own spending not only led to a debt crisis, but resulted in the first historic credit downgrade of the United States. The President, again and again has accused Congress of obstructing his plans when in truth those plans would have resulted in even more deficit spending when Harry Reid and the Democrats majority Senate have refused to pass a budget for almost 4 years now!

Reagan allowed debt crisis when Democrats refused to draft a budget

During the Reagan era there were at least two debt ceiling crises where, the president with no choice but to fight a Democrat controlled Senate, allowed the  government to supposedly run out of money. This forced the federal government to adopt a spending ceiling, and proved to the American people who had been warned by Democrats that the end of the world would happen if the debt ceiling was not increased. As it turned out, no essential government services were neglected, and the nation continued unmarred by the fear mongering echoed through the media about the impending doom of a debt crisis which had been brought about by Democratic spending to begin with.

All balanced budget proposals died in Democrat controlled Senate

While President Obama has blamed the Republicans in Congress for not allowing him to pass a budget, Harry Reid has tabled every balanced budget proposal including the Paul Ryan Plan among many others that were perfectly viable. Why? The President, time and time again, has opted to make political decisions such as, if it didn’t come from the Democrat party, to hell with the country and to hell with the rest. We might remind the President that political decisions that don’t serve the best interests of the nation as a whole are merely self serving and disingenuous pave stones that lead us on a road to unmanageable debt and further credit down grades that will result in money the government borrows to pay its debt incurring higher interest rates. This compounded by the billions means that the dollar in turn devalues more rapidly and we go into a monetary crisis.

Obama forces Republicans to cow down over debt crisis with lies

Newly elected junior Republicans took an oath after the onslaught primaries of November 2010 that resulted in the biggest upset suffered by the Democratic Party since the 1920’s, to resist spending. They had made a promise to America not to allow more spending by the federal government. Yet, President Obama vilified Republicans, fear mongering senior citizens into thinking their Social Security checks might not be sent out. Unfortunately, Speaker of the House, John Boehner capitulated, giving into the bad publicity the Obama and the Democrats had generated with the US media in tow and bowed to the pressure to increase the dangerously high debt ceiling. If this wasn’t enough Obama expensively campaigned all over the US over his 447 billion dollar jobs bill in the confines of a custom rock’n’roll bus paid for by the tax payers that he himself did not even use or sleep in contrary to what the people were led to believe.

When bailouts fail why keep trying to use them?

Thankfully Obama’s 447 billion dollar jobs bill was never passed by Congress. What was it the President was thinking? His 2009 787 billion dollar bail out failed to create jobs, only 6% went toward the promised infrastructure that it was supposed to have been targeted for, while being used by the government to literally nationalize the car and banking industries. Instead of allowing Chrysler and GM to declare Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and restructure their debt while renegotiating the bloated benefits of the UAW, the Democrats put the burden on the backs of the taxpayer. Why? Obama carries the unions to get their vote and to have that literal bail out slush fund returned to the Democrats by the very unions they bailed out who are now contributing 100’s of millions to Obama’s and Democrat re-elections.

Obama bails out the banks refuses to prosecute bankers

Banks that were both criminal and complicit in selling toxic derivatives that were knowingly leading to a financial meltdown  were bailed out. CEO’s who had instructed their traders to continue selling real estate backed investments with full knowledge of an impending fiscal crisis continued their schemes until forced by regulators to shut down those sales. These criminal CEO’s escaped prosecution and received multi million dollar golden parachutes as their institutions crumbled and investors lost their life’s savings. To date not one of them has been prosecuted by Eric Holder’s DOJ.

President Obama and the Democrats have continued to pursue a Cloward Piven style reckless path to spending that forces the federal government to accumulate outrageous deficit levels while the economy worsens. With the false promises of failed policies and no lessons learned the President continues to push for more spending, tax hikes, and costly regulations that will impact American businesses via the EPA. Why Mr. President. Why burden the American people with higher taxes in a bad economy when it was the government that allowed this to happen in the first place?

A President who could care less about the people

It was only public pressure, and the advice of his handlers that convinced Obama to finally allow the Bush tax cuts to stand when the President was very much intent upon raising taxes on all sectors of the population while continuing his rhetoric of punishing the rich. It appears that President Obama’s prime goal has been to punish Americans, and without a Republican Congress he would have succeeded even better than  he already has. Remember how badly the President wanted to implement Cap and Trade as a way of forcing Americans to pay more for energy in order to force tax payers into finding ways of saving on consumption levels while the trading of carbon credits supported by Al Gore would only make industry more money with higher costs being passed on to the consumer. Luckily the scheme was exposed and voted down.

Failure of a demagogue

In almost every facet of his agenda, President Obama has proven that little does he sympathize with the plight of Americans as he supports policies that weaken our economy and drive up costs.  The President has misled the people consistently over what the outcome of his programs would lead to and has shown little concern over the economic impact that would be felt by a struggling nation of citizens who endure a faltering economy, barely hanging onto their mortgages, as unemployment remains unacceptably high. In more than 3 years of a dwindling American economy and worldwide prestige, President Obama has remained amazingly ambivalent to the plight of the American middle class as he maintains the propaganda of class warfare.

President Obama has remained an unrelenting rigid ideologue who has refused to adjust or modify his policies for the sake of the people unless forced to by the bad economic implications of his policies or by the insistence of his advisors for political purposes. However, if left to his own devices he would not have capitulated in several instances as I’ve mentioned earlier, and we could be suffering even worse under the full brunt of his America punishing intentions.
