How unions help women in society, along with others

Women in the U.S. make about 78 of what men make in society. When it comes to comparing union women workers v. union male workers, that difference is cut to about 88%. This isn't surprising. Unions, though imperfect, have done a good job in supporting well paying jobs for African-Americans, Latinos along with women. This is of course a product of union organizing. Lastly, unions are also some of the strongest supporters of gay rights and marriage equality.

So, while the far rightwing unfortunately demonizes unions, because that is what their big bosses (the monied interests want) have served, helped and given higher wages for American workers for the past century. Unions aren't obsolete, they are more needed than ever.
