JUST LEARNING:

By Sergei Blair-For NP

The student body of the Temple University in Philadelphia received the word today that Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter will join Democratic party chairman Howard Dean at a planned rally in support for Barack Obama for President this Friday, September 19, at Temple University main campus.

The duo will join other Pennsylvania politicians such as Patrick Murphy at the Student Government Center where they will try to energize the students to vote for Democratic presidential candidate at the upcoming election in November. This media stunt will also reiterate Philadelphia's support for Obama where he won a majority of the votes when the state held its Primary Elections in April.

Thousands of students are expected to participate in the event. One Political Science class instructor had decided to postpone the Friday's test so his students can experience the political rally firsthand as they learn about the election process.

The rally is expected to start at 1 p.m. and last until 3 p.m.

I finally got off campus to read this. :) Short, but well-written. Sounds like it was an interesting rally.
