In a landslide victory Profirio Lobo, the National Party Candidate, will become the next president of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Honduras.

After months of nail bighting tensions Honduras has chosen "Pepe"Lobo, who was able to gain clost to two out of three ballots cast. Total voting was near record high attendance with over 60% of the total electorate participating.

It may be a surprise to the rest of the world, but here in Honduras the denial of Chavismo has never been a question. The only shock that faced the citizens of Honduras was the structured and unified attack by western nations in apposing the right of this Nation, to in act within the Constitution and prevent the country from falling to Hugo Chavez Communist Revolutionary Axis.

Daily, the international media had made attacks on the people of Honduras, made by misguided leftists thinking that Honduras really wants to be part of Hugo Chavez Communist Revolution. But in the end, the denial of the media to properly examine Honduras and the events that transpired will now cause their actions and motivations to be deemed suspect.

Socialists around the world had a vision of a poor country, dominated by U.S. interests, begging for a New World with a "Messiah" in the name of Hugo Chavez. All the while, Chavez, in his own country, demands to limit every personal movement and action of his own people down to the amount of time they can shower.

Sadly for his Bolivarian Revolution, Chavez has nothing to offer the people apart from domination, poverty and bloodshed. The world is a mess already. Walking into a Revolution with a character like Chavez would be more like a quick ride down the toilet than the path to freedom from the oligarchs.

There is no doubt that there will be many claims made by the so called "Resistance" that the vote was a sham. But these same people made the threatening demand of a curfew from 6:00am to 6:00pm on Election Day to cause a boycott of the elections, telling people to stay in their homes in an attempt to prevent the massive turnout.

It must be known to the world that the Nation of Honduras has no desire for division within itself. All factions of society have been invited to take part in the next government and Pepe Lobo is making it clear that national reconciliation is the key to bring Honduras towards its bright and unified future.

Now, all that is necessary is that the World accept the reality that is Honduras.

I applaud the Honduran people and newspaper editors for standing up and denying this intrusion into Honduran politics.  Shame on the USA, the EU, and the OAS for deserting Honduras in its  against fight against the Chavez attempt to control Honduras through a puppet pesident  Zelaya.  It took a lot of backbone from dedicated people and leaders of the country. Bravo!!
