Human Remains Found Inside Crocodile: A Watch & Sandals is All That's Left of Missing Brit
AUTHORITIES searching for missing Brit, Arthur Booker, who vanished with crododile tracks leading to where he was last located, believe they have found human remains inside a crocodile they have captured for testing. Two crocodiles have been X-Rayed, in an attempt to discover the sad fate of Mr. Booker after all that was found of him were a watch and two sandals.
The largest croc of the group of three is a male 4.3 metres long.
AUTHORITIES investigating the disappearance of Arthur Booker from the banks of a crocodile-infested river in Cape York believe they have found human remains in the stomach of one of the animals they have caught.
Police said further tests were expected to be conducted this week to identify whether the remains were human, but trapping of other crocodiles was called off yesterday.
Police have advised the Environmental Protection Authority that trapping is no longer required.
Mr Booker disappeared more than a week ago while checking crab-pots on the north arm of the Endeavour River near Cooktown.
A search for Mr Booker found a watch and two sandals, but no other trace of the Vietnam veteran.
The crocodiles were captured in the Endeavour River and transported to Cairns for testing.
Parks and Wildlife officers helped wrestle the animals to a suburban Cairns veterinary clinic, where the X-rays were taken.
The largest of the three animals was a 4.3m male.
