Questions and answers

We thank you for attending tonight. Please take information pamphlets home with you, pass them around, spread the word. Thank you for your interest, concern and help in tackling this global problem.

There was not a lot of people at the presentation tonight, but that will change. Over time, more and more people will hear about it and turn up for the forums. Regardless of the quantity, the quality was excellent. The women who organize them, Kathy Dahl and Debra Noel, do an excellent job. They obviously 'do their homework' on this subject, because they are never at a loss on information they provide. It was very interesting, I learned several new things.

At the presentation tonight, Mark Price, the Crime Stoppers Coordinator asked me if I would be interested in teaming up with him for some speaking engagements on human trafficking, to which I said 'of course, I would love to' (it will certainly spread the word more and more about Jessie's case). He talks at several forums - like the one tonight; at different high schools; and so forth; and he wants to plan full weekend informational thing (apparently I know more about human trafficking than anyone he knows - he even mentioned to me about one presentation he saw where the speaker was simply reading from a paper, but really had no knowledge on the subject and was not even able to answer questions from the audience), and he would like me to try to arrange some of my Jessie supporters who are human trafficking experts to speak at it, or to offer some helpful information. So, anyone reading this, Prof. Perrin, Dottie, Polly ~ ANYONE ~ who has anything they can offer to us for this, whether it is information [documents, website links, etc], if they are able to come to Kamloops to speak [or even do a video conference via the Internet - those are excellent ways to get together without having to travel, especially when everyone is so busy these days] we would be eternally grateful.

Thank you all for being here, tomorrow we will be celebrating my Jessie's 25th birthday with a bbq and an assortment of salads.
I am torn - I do not want Jessie to have any more birthdays until we find her, on the other hand, I am so grateful for the 21 years we had Jessie before she was kidnapped over 3 years ago that I have to celebrate and honour her life with my family and a few close friends.

Jessie has missed celebrating her 22nd birthday, 23rd birthday, 24th birthday and now tomorrow her 25th birthday with her family and friends - with all those who love her. We never got to celebrate her 21st birthday either, since she was in Las Vegas at that time. Then she went missing 10 months later.

Jessie's mom, Glendene.
