Hundreds of Tamil Protesters Close London's Parliament Square
Parliament square is blocked off by hundreds of protesters in Central Westminster, London on Monday. Members of the British Tamil Community blocked roads around Parliament Square, demanding a cease-fire in Sri Lanka.
The presence of women and children is causing the police to hold back from ending the illegal demonstration, who are wary of a repeat of the G20 protests.
The impromptu protest began earlier this morning by members of the British Tamil community who are upset and angered by the ongoing conflict, described today by the UN as a ‘bloodbath’.Two days of heavy shelling on a supposed safe haven inside Sri Lanka’s war zone has now killed at least 430 civilians – and possibly as many as 1,000 - according to a government doctor in the area. More than 100 children have lost their lives.

"......Is there any humanity left in this world ??"
Yes. In the six kilometer stretch, in Wanni, Sri Lanka, hiding behind all those civilian hostages exists the only "humanity" in the world.

As an update this issue was addressed in the Canadian Parliament today during Question Period. The opposition parties asked two questions with basically the same substance. Paraphrased the question directed at the Harper government was What is the government doing to obtain a cease fire in Sri Lanka.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs answered that Canada was working in cooperation with other countries to pressure Sri Lanka for a cease fire. She also stated that she had traveled to Sri Lanka Last week and held discussions with Canada's High Commissioner to continue to bring pressure for a cease fire and also to coordinate humanitarian aid.

If Prabhakaran the terrorist leader releases the civilians he uses as his 'human shield', there won't be necessity for a ceasefire. The terrorists will be defeated in a matter of hours.
Can some of these great theoreticians of ceasefires or some low life terrorist supporters convince Prabhakaran to let these people go? I think not.
Then what is the talk about a ceasefire? The war will be over in a few days. Then, the ceasefire and the burial of Prabhakaran the terrorist will be automatic.
