Hunting Party

Orion, the Hunter, accompanies me in the sky during the hunt for Orionid meteor showers last Sunday morning. Although many western cultures depict a hunter, other cultures around the world have imagined a cayman (a giant alligator-like lizard), turtle, fishing boat, a husband with his right leg hacked off by his wife in an argument, a hunting trap, and even a prisoner being fed to the vultures.
