Members of Hutaree, a Christian militia group, Were Arrested in Michigan. Who or What is Hutaree?
At least seven members of militia groups have been arrested in raids conducted in Michigan and Indiana. Fox News is reporting that seven people were arrested for reportedly selling pipe bombs in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
Some of the people arrested are believed to be connected to Hutaree, a Christian militia group based in Lenawee County, Michigan.
One Hutaree member recently posted an online message stating that the FBI raided her home and she is now on the run.
What is Hutaree?
Hutaree is Christian miltia group based in Adrian, Michigan. Hutaree members consider themselves soldiers who are readying themselves for a battle with the Anti-Christ.
"Last night and into today the FBI conducted a raid against homes belonging to the Hutaree. They are a religious cult. They are not part of our militia community," he said.
What Does Hutaree Mean?
According to the Hutaree website, Hutaree means “Christian warrior.”
"As christians we all are a part of the Souls of the Body of Christ, the one true church of Christ. Not any specific man made building or any man controlled organization. This is the belief of the Hutaree soldier, as should the belief of all followers in Christ be."
Hutaree has a presence on the Internet. There is a Hutaree MySpace Page. On their MySpace page, there is a link to Surplus Post, a site they describe as "our new firearms and surplus firearms, gun shows, and militaria collectibles discussion/classifieds board."
There are also several Hutaree YouTube videos, featuring members engaged in military exercises. One video shows a group of members taking down a burning United Nations cross.
Several other raids took place in Ohio and Indiana, although it's unclear whether they were related. The Ohio raids took place in Sandusky and Huron, and the Indiana raid occurred in Hammond

I'm quite proud of our president. This week was incredible, the workings of education reform, the health care bill, the Jobs bill, nuclear arms reduction treaty with Russia, the filling of all 15 vacant seats, a surprise visit to Afghanistan this morning and cap it off with a Federal raids around the country on a certain misguided militia that was up to no good.One hell of a week indeed.

Hey lancer. The same argument was used against FDR's "New Deal" which many hisorians would agree played a large part in bringing the country out of the Depression. It also called for huge government deficites that his opponents said would bring our nation to ruin. It did not. As for Healthcare reform, it has been proposed by three other Presidents, including R. M. Nixon. They had the foresight then to realise the system was broken and would eventually collapse if not rectified. By the way, Obama's bill almost mirrors that of Nixon's. Time will be the ultimate test if it succeeds or not and as more folks are coming to understand it there are more for it then against it as the polls seem indicate.

The Federal government has no constitutional right to have an educational department. That is left up to the State. Health care is not constituional by the government. Money from the government(from the people in the form of taxes) does not create real jobs. The constitution says the government must set CONDITIONS so that the people create jobs. It's called capitalism. Not treaties should be signed as George Washington warned. What the conservatives did with slowing down filling of judicial seats is far less than what the Democrats did when W. was in his term. Now the President visits Afghan. when he said before he was elected that he was against it. Truly sophomoric and inexperienced. The raid was not on a militia, it was on interstate selling of explosive devices.

I'm guessing you missed the part about this group planning to kill a police officer,then during the funeral set off bombs to kill more people. And what was the motivation? All I want to say is: the Creator forgives EVERYONE and He has promised ANYONE who believes in Him and lives by His commandments will be promised eternal life. One who hates or dispizes another is NOT what the Creator wants, no matter if we are christians, jews, or any other belief as long as we live according to the Creators commandments. We are not to judge nor hate because hate grows hatred. ALL of us are pitiful people but with the help of others we ALL can learn to be and do what the Creator has born us to do. The Creator created ALL of us and if some of us stray we are to be of help and inspiration to them but He also says, "there will be many that will not be saved" but that is the creators decision not ours.
