I feel bad for Chris and Rihanna

I think they both acted like big babies.  If the stories are true, Rihanna should not have thrown his keys out the window.  Chris shouldnt have put his hands on her.

BUT!  As a woman that talks a lot and pushes the buttons of people all the time.  Especially when I'm mad or feel wronged.  I can understand him putting his hands on her.  Getting mad because a man doesnt want to be with you, then taking his keys and throwing them out a window, then not getting out of HIS car - all add up to some type of reaction.  She kept going with it.  Why keep it going?  What reaction did she want from him?  For him to take her home and apologize.  You threw his damn keys!  You was bound to get something, especially if he asked you to get out the car.

Then she has a violent past too.  Its reported that she has bite marks...which means she fought back or at least got him a few times.  I'm thinking maybe she hit him while he was driving.  Self - defense!  Either way, Chris shouldnt have hit her - unless he was hit first.  Rihanna shouldn't have taken his keys or didn't get out the car when asked.  My mother always told my brother - don't ever hit a woman, but if she bucks at him and acts like a man and hits you first.  Defend yourself.  Don't let no girl beat up on you.  It may be a double standard in some people's eyes, but not for me.  Don't let no woman beat you up!

There is no excuse for physical violence against anyone, be it male or female.

Trust me, I know that.  But if I come to you and repeatedly hit you and engage in a fight with you - what do you do?

Take it and walk away?

I think there is a double standard out there and its not fair.  If a woman acts violently towards a man - who is in fact stronger and bigger than her - what does she expect to get from that?  Just a peaceful walk away?

I think if Rihanna hit him first - then she is just accountable for any reaction she gets from Chris.

Used to be we thought that men were always the victimizers. Now we know that a considerable percentage of violence in relationships is women attacking men.

Men's violence toward women often, in fact, usually begins with a violent mother who beats him, slaps him in the face and/or verbally abuses/denigrates him.

There is no discussion of this because it is POLTICALLY INCORRECT. Even OJ"s mom used to beat him with a belt. Not an excuse, but the beginning of the problem.
