Gordon Brown seemingly has taken over the Commander in Chief roll of off Obama, what the hell is happening. Friday Gordon Brown announced his Afghanistan Summit in London January 2010.

Gordon Brown is now telling Pakistan off and telling them what they should be doing.

Gordon Brown sent a tough challenge to Pakistan today to step up action against the Al Qaeda and 'take out' its leaders Osama bin Laden and Ayman Zawahiri.

The Prime Minister made little attempt to hide his frustration at Pakistan's failure, eight years after the September 11 attacks in the USA, to track down the men responsible, who are believed to be hiding out in the north of the country.

He called on Pakistan's army and security services, as well as the country's political leaders, to take Al Qaeda on directly in the tribal areas of South Waziristan near the Afghan border and not only isolate but 'break' the terror network.

Mr Brown's call came as a report for the U.S. Senate revealed Bin Laden could have been captured in 2001 but American military chiefs failed to order a swoop.

So far Obama has just ate Turkey not said a bean, not said nothing yet about the new tactics and requirement for troops in Afghanistan. But of course Gordon Brown has already told the world of his plan. Which is using scare tactics more troops at the battle front then send in 50,000 half trained Afghan military to enforce the Nato and UN forces.

Now he wants the Pakistan army to push back the Taliban into the killing zone, sounds like Sri Lanka.  But he thinks the Taliban will give in under such promised duress and sign a truce and peace treaty.

Now is Obama waiting to receive his orders from Gordon and is Gordon really incharge? It certaily looks like it from where I am sitting.

Who is in charge of this damn war in Afghanistan?   Is it a case of too many chiefs and not enough Indians?

Well, if you really want the feathers to fly, who was once in charge of Iraq, Pakistan, India and you know who else, departed and left the world in a mess? Not pointing fingers mind you.

So we should of held on to the colonies? World opinion told us we should not have, so we handed back an empire built by greedy elitist, to local greedy elitist. The problem is just the same as the one that's going to happen when Afghanistan and Iraq are handed back to the natives. The elitist there will fight for power if you change a regime, the regime will fall down and a new one will take its place, that sods law.

Mean while who is running this damn war?

Good question, Babel-Fish.  A fair lot of us wish we knew.
