I’m the most persecuted man in history, says Silvio Berlusconi

The Italian Prime Minister, who on Wednesday lost the immunity from prosecution that has protected him from criminal proceedings, lamented his fate yesterday, saying that he was “absolutely the most persecuted by the judiciary in all of the history of the entire world”.

Ah, this is what I needed first thing this morning. Ha. Ha. Ha. 'Persecution' and 'Berlusconi' in the same sentence is simply hilarious. Although the man himself doesn't seem to think so!

The piece details the numerous allegations against this vile man and his laughable (though sinister) flippancy about them all.

And, let's not even think about the arrogance of the man.

"I am, and not only in my own opinion, the best prime minister who could be found today," he told a press conference. "I believe there is no one in history to whom I should feel inferior. Quite the opposite."

Where on earth does he get the idea that he is a good prime minster, never mind the 'best'?

Bring on an election. That's why we live in a democracy...
