"I Shook Hands With Li" says Teen Who Bought the Bus Beheader's Laptop by Christina 123

It has been revealed that a Manitoba teenager shook hands with Greyhound Bus maniac Vince Li just hours before Li's heinous alleged crime.  "He seemed a straight, regular guy" the teen said.

WINNIPEG — A teenage boy in rural Manitoba shook hands with Vince Weiguang Li just hours before the man allegedly killed and dismembered 22-year-old Tim McLean aboard a Greyhound bus.

Darren Beatty, 15, bought a laptop from Li on the morning of the killing in Erickson.

“He just seemed like such a nice guy. It didn’t seem like he’d do anything bad,” said Beatty.

The teenager saw Li a night earlier, sitting on a bench outside a grocery store. When Beatty returned the next morning, Li was still there with a sign advertising a laptop computer for sale for $600.

After bargaining back and forth, the boy picked up the laptop for only $60.

“He seemed really happy that I bought it,” said Beatty.

The teenager took the laptop home, but found he couldn’t access it since it required a password. He returned to find Li outside the grocery store and the man gave him an access code for the computer, along with a free case for it. Just after 6 p.m. that day, a Greyhound bus left Erickson, which is about 250 km northwest of Winnipeg, and Li was gone.
