I Wanna Go For A Ride :-)

Checking out the space shuttle mock up called Explorer. It was very cool! And very big. You can walk inside and see the flight deck, galley and payload bay. The shuttles are around 122 ft. long and is 78 ft. across (wing tip to tip). They are around 56 ft. tall and the weight (depending on which shuttle) between 170 and 185 thousand pounds - without the external fuel tanks, fuel or solid rocket boosters. In orbit these babies cruise around the earth at 17,500 mph.
