i, sam iam (aka salvatore gerard micheal), hereby formally establish Iam University as described in this charter. This is a legally binding document in the sense all participants (students, faculty, staff, and donors) are required to adhere to its principles briefly outlined below. Initially, we need to attract legitimate faculty in order to be accredited (in the areas of theoretical physics and religious studies). This limited domain may be expanded later upon IU council approval. The purpose of the Religious Studies College within IU will be similar to Jainism: to formally study all world religions so as to become experts in their principles. It is hoped graduates of the religious studies program will, for instance, improve on Better Way (an engineered extension of Buddhism) or be balanced leaders in the 'human religious sphere'. The purpose of the Physics College is to produce balanced graduates of theoretical physics ideally developing and refining the Other Model as outlined elsewhere. As IU does not have a physical location yet (part of the purpose of this document is to attract donors for land - preferably in the Pacific Rim area), most if not all of our courses will be taught/available online. Of course, if there are interested students in the faculty locations, at their discretion, courses may be available in traditional format. The financial structure of IU will be ostensibly a cooperative with heavy reinvestment initially into IU infrastructure (the proportion thereof will be continually determined by IU council). It is possible to establish a 'democratic IU' where staff, faculty, and students all get equal votes on critical decisions, but this must be decided by IU council. For IU integrity and continuance, it may be required to administer IU by council decree for an initial period. Ideally, we will phase out this 'dictatorial governance' as time and IU participation permits .. i hope you share the excitement of this endeavor. i believe it is unique at this time in human history (and a required development for our sustainable growth as a global enduring civilization) ..
