The Indian government has expressed its willingness to organise talks between the Sri Lankan government and the LTTE provided certain condition are met.


India's Internal Affairs minister Palaniappan Chidambaram said the LTTE should first lay down arms and state their willingness for talks. The senior Indian minister strongly criticised the activities of LTTE during the past decades.
The powerful minister, who is an ethnic Tamil, also heavily criticised the Tamil Tigers for assassinating former Indian PM Rajiv Gandhi.


'LTTE blunders'
To the first time, the Minister said that ltte and VP want to create a dictatorship in Sri Lanka and that Ltte is Killing Tamil leaders and Moderate Tamils to secure the Dictatorship from VP.

Good Post, I think Indian government has always made this clear that they support tamil civilians and oppose LTTE armed struggle.

Thanks for your comment and now India must immidiatly act to help the civilians to get escape from thoes areas. I think India has got enough mechanism and ability to do it. This is a little hope for "rescuing civilians"
