IFALPA concerned about Garuda pilot Marwoto`s fate
"We received a letter from IFALPA expressing serious concern about and conveying sympathy for Captain Pilot Marwoto Komar who has been detained by the Yogyakarta police," APG President Stefanus said here Thursday.
The international organization had also voiced its hope that Marwoto could be set free unconditionally as the police had apparently detained him on the basis of a report of the National Commission on Transportation Safety (KNKT) on the Garuda plane crash whereas that report had yet to answer "many serious and important questions," he said.

Captain Marwoto Komar, who was arrested on Monday after eight hours of interrogation, was also charged with other offences including violating aviation law and could face more than five years in jail, the pilot's lawyer Muhammad Assegaf said.
