Ferozpur, Punjab Former Lok Sabha Speaker and Madhya Pradesh governor Balram Jakhar’s son Surinder Kumar Jakhar, Chairman of the IFFCO, one of India’s largest cooperative fertilizer manufacturers died in an accidental gun blast at his farm house in Abhor in Ferozpur district of Punjab. Jakhar has been one of the leaders of the Cooperative movement in India.

Reports said his pistol went off accidentally when he was cleaning it. The fifty-six-year-old stalwart of the cooperative movement in India was injured in his temple in the blast. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was proclaimed brought dead.
