NP Rank:
Ignatieff Sticking to His Guns, and unfazed by signs of recovery
Barry Artiste Op/Ed
Many say Federal Liberal Leader, Micheal Ignatieff is sticking to his Political GUNS, come hell or high water!
To that, I say, Never bring an unloaded GUN to a Conservative Knife Fight, cause if you don't have the Political AMMO to back it up with the other opposition parties, you are shooting Blanks, despite your reluctance to register that unloaded political gun with the Canadian people first, shows your contempt for our opinion, which I am sure would extend to your ignoring us if you ever did become Prime Minister.
Canadian Polls consistently say, Canadians don't want an Election, and if you persist, Canadians will vote their Annoyance at you and your Liberal Party, with Prime Minister Harper and his Wild bunch Conservatives who will Chew your party up and Spit you out! Bloc Quebec may side with you, but not for your support, cause they know a man like you from the USA will get the Bloc more votes, which means less votes for your precious Liberals, who must be crapping their depends over an election loss. As for the NDP, well Laytonittes may not like the current Conservatives, but you know what they say, keep your friends close, and you enemies even closer. Best to share with the Devil than a proven unknown like you! Gee you taught at Harvard, surely if you are as intelligent as they say you are, you should know the outcome. And since you are from the US, I would not count on Obamarama for support, he has enough problems with the US economy as it is. If Canadas economy suffers because of your self perceived notion you are our economic saviour, think again, think Old Warhorse Cowboy President Ronald Reagans words,"Trickle Down Theory", Shit runs downhill, Obama knows it, so should you! If your election bid puts a non confidence in our economy, then it stands to reason the border states economy will suffer as well.
So Good Luck Quick Draw, better be packing heat, if you intend on a showdown taking over Dodge! Cause Sheriff Harper don't take too kindly to City folk shit disturbers.
Ignatieff unfazed by signs of recovery
Signs of an economic recovery aren't going to steer federal Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff away from his drive to topple the Tory government.
Mr. Ignatieff said today he remains committed to engineering an election despite Statistics Canada data showing the economy generated 27,100 jobs in August, suggesting an easing of the recession.
“I think the economy is still struggling,” he told reporters during a news conference, responding to the job numbers.
