hmm... Mexico should have deported the US illigals who went to Texas before the Mexican war. This would have been avoided.....

What is the Mexican version of the Alamo / Texas Issue ?
In Public School and Films here(Wisconsin USA 1970's), the story goes that the Mexican President was dissapointed that Texas was not more populated.
To encourage Americans to settle in and develope Texas, the Mexican promised them a measure of self government and other guarantees of non -interferance and property ownership to encourage Americans to enter and settle what was then a part of Mexico.
The it is alleged that the Mexican President reneged on his promises that induced the Americans to move there..
What is the other side of the story?
