Photos of Governor Rod Blagojevich and the Illinois Governor's mansion taken from the US Federal Government website and are considered in the public domain.
Public domain materials generally fall into one of four categories:1. Generic information, such as facts, numbers and ideas.
2. Works whose copyrights have lapsed due to the passage of time or the failure of the copyright holder to renew a registration (a requirement that applies to works created before 1978).
3. Works created prior to March 1989 that failed to include a proper notice of copyright.
4. Works created by the U.S. federal government.
Also, in rare instances, works may be "dedicated" (donated) to the public domain.

Thanks for the pictures and information on copyright laws regarding photos, Tina. While our officials from Washington, D.C. to Memphis, TN are willing to ignore laws and engage in conspiracies to cover wrongdoing, it is nice to know that people such as yourself are careful to honor the ownership rights of photos.
What an excellent day for justice if federal attorneys have decided to do their jobs and weed out corruption in high offices! I hope this renewed sense of justice spreads its net to include the cover-up regarding my brother's secret arrest and wrongful death in Memphis/Shelby County Jail and our family's fraud by The Cochran Firm, not to metion the continuous refusal of the USDOJ to do its job and actually investigate Larry Neal's demise and other county jail abuse and wrongful death cases. According to a recent indictment out of Willacy County, Texas, such federal investigations were prevented during the Bush Administration.
The arrest of a governor bodes well for the incoming Washington Administration in my book. Maybe the USDOJ anticipates that it is now necessary to actually work to uproot corruption in elected officials! How refreshing.

what's all this talk about calling for Blagojevich to "resign?" ... "throw him in prison" sounds a lot more fitting
it gives me chills to see how calm and collected he continues to act
