The Head of the IMF, Dominique Strass-Kahn, was taken off a Paris-bound plane shortly before take at JFK airport and taken into custody over an alleged sexual attack on a hotel maid. While details of the incidence are still sketchy, he is being question but has not being charged.
In October 2008 Mr. Strass-Kahn apologized for "an error of judgment" in an affair he had with a subordinate though denied abusing his position.
Before his appointment in 2007 as the IMF boss, he serves as the finance minister in France.
