Imran says former Pakistan PM disqualified under Zardari law

Firebrand Pakistani politician Imran  Khan on Wednesday termed the ineligibility of twice-elected former PM Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz Sharif, who was sitting chief minister of the Punjab province, to contest election as a verdict given under the 'Zardari law.'

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said verdict in Sharif brothers’ eligibility case was given according to according to Zardari law.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said that present unconstitutional Chief Justice was acceptable to the government for implementation of Zardari law.
Khan urged Sharif brothers not to approach unconstitutional courts.
“The verdict has proved that rulers will continue to impose their personal decisions till arrival of independent judiciary in the country,” he said.
PTI chief appealed to the nation to fully participate in the long march and planned sit-in to bring real change in Pakistan.
