NP Rank:
This inauguration offers no sunshine beyond the storm clouds If
An inauguration ceremony that does not qualify as an optimistic occasion.
If one samples the pervading mood of Americans over the coming 4 years you will find that most people Democrats or Republicans are convinced the US is headed in the wrong direction. 38% of Democrats and 84% of Republicans see the future of America as bleak.
Optimism, like respect, must be earned
There are some alarming indicators here that with this lack of belief in the leadership in Washington, particularly in our President, that we can surmise two things from these facts. 1) If so many are disenchanted over the President’s policies, than how did he get elected? This seems to point at a rigged election rife with unprosecuted voter fraud. 2) Unlike past second terms where the country was full of optimism under Reagan, Clinton, and Bush, people are worried and insecure over what the future holds under the Obama White House. Here we should pause and let that sink in. The majority of Americans are not happy under the Obama presidency, economic problems have remained unchanged, and the future is definitely not promising.
Nothing to cheer about
This stark contrast in the nation’s mood over the next 4 years demonstrates that the President’s policies are not working, but even worse that not only are his actions ineffective, but no one seems willing to do anything about it. The evidence is clear that there has been illegal conduct under the Obama administration, that Congressional inquiries have been ignored under the Fast and Furious investigation, that our Ambassador can get murdered due to the President’s orders and no repercussions will be felt, and President Obama can even order US forces into war without consulting Congress without consequence. For many, the realization that a lawless regime such as the Obama White House can go unpunished as the President rules with executive orders and uses executive privilege to keep criminals in his administration from facing justice is discouraging to say the least.
Denial of the left
With high unemployment that is not improving no matter how the misleading Labor Department statistics misrepresent it, and economic growth at 1 to 2 % it is clear that there will be no answers to the suffering anytime soon as Obama is committed to not applying the time tested tools of supply side economics that President Ronald Reagan used to successfully restore America in the 80’s. There’s little wonder then that the general mood of the nation, despite the antics of the leftists who will hold their joyous celebration in their privileged positions insulated from the suffering during the inauguration ceremony, will not represent the misery of this deteriorating nation.
Where is the motivation?
You might be able to inspire people into fighting harder and rising above obstacles when they have something to look forward to, but you cannot continue to lie to the people that things are getting better and the future is bright when you have to use propaganda and deficit spending for more government handouts just to maintain a miserable status quo. This is what America is now experiencing on a wider mass scale than it ever has. Being forced to accept less than it deserves thanks to the impotence of government policy. This is the very essence of the problem which is at the core of the disenchantment which casts a long shadow upon a once great nation that is being prevented from rising again.
Grim outlook
If I were to say anything about a future that were promising under the present leadership, I would have to lie to you. I know what it will take to get America back on the road to much deserved prosperity, but I also know under the leadership of President Obama that won’t happen. The sooner that the few believers in President Obama’s lies who are left come to that conclusion the better. We can then come to a realistic consensus here in America about the real state of the nation, and what truly needs to be done aside from the rhetoric and leftist deception that has led us down this destructive path we never should have followed.
