One of the important fundamental rights of men are most of the times gets violated because of the misuse of women centric laws. The trend has increased recently because of the improved awareness. Even though men are getting more favorable treatment in  largely patriarchal societies like that of India, it is high time to set a balance and look at the negative side (ie misuse with malicious intend ) of the laws that framed to protect women from abuse.

A movement claiming to protect men's rights, particularly against alleged abuse of "women-centric" laws, has been launched here.

"Certain laws aimed at protecting women like Dowry Prohibition Act and Prevention of Domestic Violence Act are being misused against men, resulting in collapse of Indian family system, even leading to suicide of husbands," G Prakash, convenor of Coimbatore chapter of the 'Save Indian Family Movement alleged.

"Whenever a married woman dies due to any reason, like accident, illness or suicide, it is escalated into the realm of dowry death and the husband is immediately arrested. But large scale suicides by men owing to domestic violence perpetrated on them are not even getting noticed let alone justice being done," Prakash pointed out

This issue is a very multi-dimensional one. Some time back when India was still suffering from the "Non-Allied - pseudo- socialist" economical policies, the social situation were not much different from that of 1940s or 1950s. Women - no education. Men need less education and more physical work. No jobs or business other than provided by inefficient PSUs (Public Sector Units) or the Government ones. Private Sector was non - existent or minuscule percentage. At that time women were indeed used to face great discrimination. But since the economic revolution and Indian version of 'perestroika' happened, Indian economy opened its rusted and gates to the outside world and that changed the socio-economic scenario completely. Now everyone can get a job or start a business and live like a human being - provide he/she has the thing in him / her. Man is not the sole breadwinner of the family. The new Indian woman is not the one who cowered under the glare of society because the society now recognizes her value and importance. With this came the self-awareness.

This awareness is the reason behind the misuse of certain laws those were formulated to protect ill-treatment of women. True, in the majority of the cases the needle of justice must be tilted towards the women, who actually suffered from their "worst-parts" of life. But, the percentage of false allegation bye the women too are on the raise. Recent reports bring more and more such incidents into light.

Yes, in an ideal world it should be innocent until proven guilty. But who lives in the ideal world?

"Rights could not remain unalienable unless they were protected as enforceable rights under a code of law - anonymous"

I  welcome this act. Nowadays women's are imposing or claiming false cases on Men.Men after marriage become SLAVE to women's arrogant or adamant behaviours. Men has to be get adjusted because if women raise a case against men;instantly without any enquiry, LAW enforces men as a culprit. This shouldnt be the LAW. It has to investigate each case. ALL I WANT TO TELL TO THE GOVERNMENT OR PEOPLE OR LAW MAKERS IS THAT THIS LAW WHICH ALWAYS GO POSITIVE FOR WOMEN HAS TO BE ABANDONED. THIS WILL SAVE MANY MEN LIVES. PREVENT MORE SUICIDES.
