India Pressing Sri Lanka to stop the war - Chidambaram to Voters

Campaigning in his constituency for the upcoming election, Indian Home minister P Chidambaram sais that the Government looking for options to stop the ongoing war between LTTE terrorists and Sri Lankan Army.
Chidambaram is contesting the upcoming general election from Shivaganga constituency in Tamilnadu for which he is the current representative to Indian Parliament.
KARAIKUDI (TN): India was putting pressure on Sri Lanka to "stop the ongoing war" in the neighbouring country, union home minster P Chidambaram on Sunday said and expressed hope that the Lankan government and the LTTE would agree to stop the hostilities.
"A few days ago the prime minister, the external affairs minister, myself, the national security advisor and the foreign secretary held a discussion and we have made some strong demands to Sri Lanka. We have pressed the Sri Lankan government to stop the war," he told reporters.
"It is not a mere request to the Sri Lankan government to stop the war. It is more than that..we have said there is a need to stop the war," he said in this town, which forms part of his Sivaganga Lok Sabha constituency.
"At the same time we are also pressing the LTTE to stop the war. I hope our request will yield fruit. If there is no result, the Sri Lankan government and all the people living in that country will be affected in a big way," he said.
At the same time his opponents says that in the election poll that will be held in Tamil Nadu on May 13 , the Sivaganga farming community's anger over lack of water may affect Chidambaram's fortunes. Water scarcity is the main problem facing the people in Sivaganga - not the survival of LTTE terrorist's leader Prabhakaran.
According to the Geological Survey of India, the fall in the water table began at the turn of this century. It is now about 200 feet while earlier it was nearly 15 feet.
In response to this issue , Karti Chidambaram, Son of P Chidambaram said that 52 bank branches have been set up in Sivaganga due to his father's efforts.

Sri Lankan Government's Motto & Rules to live by (Sinhalese extremists please note too):
(1) No food or medicines to Tamils
(2) Only shelling and bombing can reach Tamils
(3) All Tamils are LTTE (Tamils Tigers)
(4) Anybody talks for Tamils' rights should be killed, kidnapped and tortured, but not necessarily in that order.
(5) Sinhalese are patriotic until they support the current war on Tamils.
(6) Passport check these extremist LTTE (or Tamils Tigers) supporters: Brian Senewiratne, Bruce Fein, Brad Adams, Lasantha Wickrematunge (check, done - already killed), UK MPs and high officials (allow Lord Nasby - he comes for partying only man, supports us, a good guy), UN officials, Human Rights Watch, USA, Australia, Canada, Germany, France.... man this list is getting long. too many white "Tigers" man, we got to spent more money on propaganda. Rest assured that I will be the last person to support any government, or any terrorist to kill innocent civilians, be them Tamil, Muslim or Sinhala.
Is there any reason why you can't believe the words of credible Tamil people like the 21 intellectuals who came to Sri Lanka, (Read this again http://my.nowpublic.com/world/tamil-diaspora-dialogue) but insist on believing the crap spread by LTTE propaganda around the world ?

Oh, Dear...!
I never knew that wishing someone "happy new year" in their native language amounts to "genocide". In which country / culture such restriction does exist, Tamiya?
Just now I wished all my Tamil friends the same. But none of them said that it is a crime against humanity or an insult to their culture.
Curious to know..!
