Indian defence scientists are planning to put one of the world's hottest chilli powders into hand grenades.

They say the devices will be used to control rioters and in counter-insurgency operations.

It's pretty hot Sara Star. I tried the chillies once and vowed never to eat it again because my tongue was on fire.

The problem is that you can not touch that person with out getting the chilli on your self making it rather hard to apprehend some one with out protective equipment.

True Paschen.

I think this is a good idea. But I would not want to have such a grenade filled with the hottest chilli thrown at me. It would defintely sting and burn.

I usually have the poppadoms and curry sauce with rice minus the chili. It's quite tasty that way :)

Laughing gas would be a better replacement. It would be fun to watch all those trouble-makers laughing in heaps one on other.
