India vs Australia Live Score: 3rd ODI Match 2013 at Mohali
IND vs AUS 3rd ODI Live Score - Australia have won the toss and decide to bowl first. Both teams remain unchanged, and India will bat for the first time in the series. The series is level at 1-1 with 5 matches remaining. India will look to bat well and get to a big score and hope their bowlers will be able to defend it.
The pitch at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali had an even spread of grass, and though conditions were likely to favour batsmen overall, both captains felt there would be some help for the bowlers too.
The series is currently tied at 1-1 after Australia won the first ODI in Pune and India hit back by chasing down 360 in just 43.3 overs at Jaipur. Australia had batted first in both games.
Bailey said the dew and the difficulty in defending a target played a part in his decision at the toss. “It is a beautiful wicket again, similar to Jaipur,” said Bailey. “I think dew will be a factor and talking to the guys who have played here earlier, they said it can be hard to defend here.”
Both sides were unchanged for the match, and MS Dhoni, the Indian captain, said there was no need to make changes after India’s performance in the second ODI, lauding his batsmen and defending his bowlers.
“After the last performance, there were no changes needed,” said Dhoni. “If we had to be harsh on the bowlers, we would need to change all of them. We wanted to field first, but it’s good we are bowling second, it will give good exposure to the guys. We are looking at it like a five-match series.”
