The just finished indian election has given the existing government a more pronounced verdict to govern for the next five year .This was the historical election as far as the outcome is concerned Indian people voted for the stability.India is the largest democratic country according to population so the process of election is very important for this country but when we see the participation in the poling by the people it is disappointing we are unable to achieve 60% poling by the people.

Is it real verdict where almost 40% voters are not participating in the biggest events of democracy.

someone has to win so candidates are wining government has to form so government is forming .If we calculate the vote percentage that the ruling alliance has got will be hardly 25%.and the people who opted for non voting are more than that .

If we think on other side of this coin then we will found that the people who are not voting are urbane educated and one who understand the country and the need of the nation but still they dont vote.It means majority of voters are less educated or aware so their selection will be based on their parameters that will definitely inferior than rest who opted out not to vote.

Although poling days are holidays but still voter turnout is low, this is because of two primary  reason first is the ignorance of the people about the voting, many people enjoy the voting day as a holiday and want to spend their time with the family second many people leave outside from their constituency for their job and work.

These are the biggest problem in our democratic system electoral reforms has been done we have done a lot on cleaning the system but we havenot done to increase the participation of the people still we have to go long way ahead government should made voting compolsory for everyone and violation costs penalty and create appropriate voting infrastructure like voting from phone, internet and other it instrument to increase the participatition in the poling system  after taking care of their misuse of the system .That wil be true democracy with maximum participation in election and then true mendade wil be reflected on the pol results that will be the real success of democracy in the country
