Indian Govt. send relief boat to maoist-hit Chitrakonda
Bhubaneswar: Government on Monday send a water Boat to maoist infected Malkanagiri District of Indian coastal state of Orissa, where the maoist militants destroyed a boat carrying the security persons and killed at least 56 Gray hound force of country's Southern state Andrapradesh in recent weeks.
After the Maoist menace, the District Collector of Malakanagiri requested to Department of Water Resources to provide a water boat as a Government boat at Chitrakonda is destroyed by the extremists.
According to Mr. Shakti Prasad Chatterji, the Orissa state port engineer, We provide a water boat for the relief purposes to Chitrokonda after an instruction from Special Relief Commissioner Mr. Nikunja Kishore Sundaray. It has 30 quintal (10 metric ton) capacity. It may use for transportation and communication purposes also. The Tahasildar, the local Magistrate of Chitrokonda will decide how to use the boat for benefit of the local people.
Meanwhile the boat is received at Chitrokonda by the local officials. Here noted that, recently maoist attacked heavily on security forces in two different place killing more than 70 police man. This Indian District is infected by maoist extrimist and Government Forces are finding uneasy to fight against these red rebel in Dense Forest.
