Indian IT worker blames second wife's cruelty in suicide message
Straining family relationship and changing values are a reality in this world, especially in the wake of the rapid globalization. Like the people of other countries, Indian too are facing this situation and trying to adjust to the changes. But not every one succeeds in this. Especially people who grew up in tightly knitted and conservative families – a norm in India - find it particularly difficult to adjust.
Here is a story of an IT worker from Bangalore, who recorded a video message just before committing suicide because of a strained marriage.
In a bizarre incident, a techie from Bangalore committed suicide after recording a videographed message in which he blamed his second wife for his death.
Syed Magdoom, aged 40 years, committed suicide at his residence at J C Nagar claming that he was unhappy with the treatment meted out to him by his second wife.
Syed, who worked as a professional head, in his video-recorded statement said that he was ending his life after being betrayed by his second wife Muskan Seher.
"She harassed and blackmailed me emotionally. My son Rihan means the world to me. But I was prevented from meeting him. I was asked to pay Rs 10 lakh and a dowry harassment case was booked against me," Syed said.
Syed's first wife was a Canadian lady. However, the two separated later. He then got married to a Bangalore based lady called Muskan Seher and had a child with her.

"Aslamu Alaikum,
I would like to announce that, today I am going to end my own life"

There is no more news about this incident. Problem with such incidents is that, the news dies down pretty fast.
Will look for more news.

re news dying down so fast is a fact of life these days. we are constantly being bombarded with so much information all the time including some tragic incidents.
I was reading a stroy in local paper where a study was saying that the younger generation which is growing up in present time is less emotional and caring because they dont get the time to reflect, feel and care for things.
I recalled that study when I saw your comment and this story. but just to clarify I am not really sure what method the study used, what was the sample of youngters they interviewed etc.
I dont think youngs and us have become less caring and passonate but maybe we are now less shocked by such incidents due to their constant occuring and instant appearence on the world media. on the positive side of this globalisation and media coverage I guess we have got a better chance of understanding each other.
it certainly has made me realise that I am not the only fool who thinks trying to understand and respect people with different ideologies and political affiliations is not that bad after all.
meaning not all people in India, Israeli, USA are out to kill me hehe
