Indian Politiciancs use "Shameless"brand of oil to keep their skin insensitive and thick? by ashokkjha

After 61 years of Independence,India as a nation have grown stronger and stronger.India is already a major economy of the world and hopefully it would  be in the league of developed nations very soon.

Indian society respects  Power not the politician. That is the reason that till now any bright and young politically inclined person ventures into politics at the risk of being thrown out of his home.Sometimes his action might result in a heart attack of his parents. Not many venture into Politics anyway, fearing condemnation and being looked down upon. This apathy towards Politics and Politicians have resulted into criminalization of Politics.

The strong apathy , particularly among the middle class of the society leaves the political field wide open to be occupied and exploited by all kinds of people. Some have emerged from the political grind and have left their distinctive mark, but for the majority, there are no appropriate words to describe them.

As for the present ministers some are really outstanding. The Minister of Home is considered to be next only to the Prime Minister. Our present Home Minister,Shivraj Patil is often in the line of fire from the opposition for giving more attention to his ward-robe, than the various Bomb-Blasts and other unfortunate incidents that keep taking place somewhere or the other in the country. The people of this country and opposition parties do not appreciate the fact that the minister has to make statements in the Parliament after such heinous incidents. So what if there are innumerable speech writers associated as advisors with the ministry. After all, the minister has to stand up and repeat those words prepared for the occasion .

The people of this country are not aware of the facts that the statements are recorded and are open for scrutiny, so the minister has to always sound politically correct but the multitudes of Indians expect some action and tangible result also. What superfluous and foolish expectations! The Minister would often wonder in sheer amazement..

The very vociferous Member Of Parliament,Prabhunath Singh narrated an incident that supposedly happened in the Harihar Nath Festival some years ago.The month long festival also known as "Sonpur Mela" is famous for cattle trade.Once a trader asked for Rs.30000 for a good and healthy cow. When enquired how much milk one can milk, the trader replied that she does not give any milk but her good looks justify the price tag.Take it or leave it !After concluding, Prabhunath Singh requested Sonia Gandhi that this country deserves a minister who works and is accountable.

But being a seasoned politician,Prahu Nath Sing would know that his request would go in vain. The home minister is in very good company as his two Ministers- of- State in his ministry are always busy studio- hopping .They must be very exhausted at the end of the day.Their agony gets intensified when some ghastly incident takes place and they have to rush to that place to assess the situation."

Narendra Modi" and "Khandhar Hijacking" incidents are their answers to any query or question put to them.Ask them about the police reform and they will start telling you how Narendra Modi is behaving like a dictator.Ask further about the repeated intelligence failure and they will cite the Khandhar incident. They refrain from naming Pakistan now which must please Pakistan and NDTV.

One of his deputies asked the Nitish Kumar Government to resign over the barbaric police beating and dragging of the chain-snatcher,who would have damaged the limbs and other organs of many other ladies whose chains he had been snatching and looting without any fear for months and years. It is a well known fact that police resort to the inhuman third-degree treatment inside the premise of the Police Station. This time, though, it happened in the presence of camera and at the place where the snatching incident took place. The concern shown by the minister was beginning to sound impressive until he mouthed that the chain-snatcher met such type of treatment because he belonged to the minority community. Once a Journalist asked this minister about the work he had done so far.He proudly announced that he had added some central schools and Navodaya Vidyalyas. It is altogether a different story that riding the Lalu wave that swept Bihar two decades ago, he has helped himself very much.He might not be the envy of Narayan Murthy or Mukesh Ambani yet,but god has been very kind to him.

Other Deputy of Mr. Patil came into politics spoiling his richness .He is one of the wealthiest persons of Kanpur. To be fair to him, he never boasts about his accomplishment and does his job of providing bytes to various channels whenever anyone cares to request him.The British left the shors of India six decades ago but we have kept and preserved the same laws which govern our police force.Whoever is ruling wants to keep police as the instrument of power. One has to buy a dictionary of Political Science before asking any question about Police Reform.State list,Central list, Concurrent list, all kinds of excuses are put forward and the same has been the standard response for decades now.Even after 61 years of Independence, the citizen of this country are so helpless. These leaders who proudly announce ex-Gratia payments at the death of the victims ,for the bereaved families use "Shameless"brand of oil to keep their skin insensitive and thick.Admit the failures and the nation would forgive but don't take India and Indian's for a ride.
