After a long time Rajo devi is now feeling the motherhood in her life,she gave birth to a baby girl.
An Indian woman has given birth to her first child at the age of 70 after receiving IVF treatment, newspapers quoted her doctor as saying yesterday.
Rajo Devi, who married 50 years ago, gave birth to a baby girl on Nov. 28 after in vitro fertilization, said Anurag Bishnoi, a doctor at the Hisar fertility center in Haryana state.
"Rajo Devi and (her husband) Bala Ram approached the center for treatment and the embryo transfer was done on April 19," he told the Hindustan Times. "Both the mother and child are in good health."
Bishnoi claimed Devi was the world's oldest mother.
Another 70-year-old Indian was reported to have given birth to twins via IVF in July this year, while a 66-year-old Spanish woman had twins in 2006.

Thats really strange, defying the menopause and giving birth to a baby at 70 is medical miracal.Hope the baby is safe and healthy.

I don't know, but I think this is a bit crazy. First of all, it means that the child will probably lose its mother before reaching adulthood. I mean, what are the odds? It also means that the child, form a very young age, will have to take care of its mother. Look, 70 isn't exactly young ... I think sometimes, the medical world goes a bit overboard.
If I were the doctor, I would have refused to treat her. Not because I would want to deny someone a child, but from the child's perspective. Also - 70-year olds do not get pregnant naturally and there is a reason for this. By treating her, the doctors put this woman's life in danger ...

yup,this is true,child will loose her mother before reaching adulthood,

Exactly - this is purely a medical miracle. Nothing more. Because these docs forced nature to do something completely out of line. Again - 70 year olds are not supposed to have babies but grand children. That is what nature intended. Plus - the docs have deliberately put the life of this old woman in danger as giving birth is heavy work, even for young women.

Yes the mother may be dead in a few months or years - but none of us know how long we have and when young parents are lost due to accident and illness ... we do not say the child should never have been born!
I think it's ghastly that the Mama maybe ill and distress the child by getting sick from Cancer or Alzhiemer's etc when only in Elementary school... BUT
I feel unless we know the people we have no way of knowing about this family or who would raise the child .... and the child, even if it never remembered it mother, has the gift of life and no doubt a loving family who they will grow up with.

Sarah, the wife of Abraham, gave birth to Isaac at the age of ninety.
The claim by Bishnoi is therefore not correct and neither is this birth the first in history.
