The reason why this degenerate committed this act of serious atrocity?  Because the 6 month old puppy "soiled his chair".  There needs to be stricter laws on those who commit violence against animals.  A 5 1/2 year sentence isn't a full 5 1/2 years.  Jail crowding, mandatory minimum sentences, you name it.  The system is failing us.

Here's a startling statistic:  "...in women and children escaping from domesticviolence, 85% said that women talked about pet abuse,63% of children talked about pet abuse, and 83% said that they hadobserved the coexistence of domestic violence and pet abuse (by the abusive partner)."

CLICK HERE for the scumbag's vast criminal record:

FRANKLIN, Ind. -- A man convicted of stabbing a puppy received a 5½-year sentence Wednesday.

John Hornaday, 26, had pleaded guilty to stabbing a 6-month-old puppy in December 2006 after the dog soiled his chair.

According to police, Hornaday threatened his wife and child with the same knife to keep quiet about the incident.

The puppy had been stabbed six times and her throat had been slashed. When rescuers found the dog, she was bleeding heavily and near death.

Hornaday was already serving time in another unrelated case. The puppy survived the attack.

Michelle Says So, I like this story. It's good stuff. People who mistreat animals deserve life imprisonment.
