Indian captain Mahendra singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat in the second and final test of Mohali. Dhoni will try to continue his winning spree and team England will try to level the series after the loss in Chennai  test.Team England is under heavy pressure after the loss of oneday series and first test.

scorecard :England

Losing Virender Sehwag early, Indian batsmen Gautam Gambhir and Rahul Dravid are playing a waiting game on the first day of the Mohali Test.

Put in to bowl, England pacer Stuart Broad struck straightaway and dismissed Sehwag. Broad, who came in the side in place of Steve Harmison, pitched one outside the off-stump. Sehwag edged it on the drive and wicketkeeper Matt Prior took a simple catch to see the dangerous Delhiite back for a naught.

The match had a delayed start due to bad light. The Mohali surface is dry and hard near the crease while the middle of the pitch looks green. India have a good track record in Mohali. They won their last Test against Australia here not too long back.

India: MS Dhoni (Captain), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra, Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma.

England: Kevin Pietersen (Captain), Alastair Cook, Andrew Strauss, Ian Bell, Paul Collingwood, Andrew Flintoff, Matt Prior, Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Monty Panesar and Graeme Swann.

Hi Amit,

There seems to be some problem with formating, I suggest just copy and paste the story from the edit tab into notepad and paste it back. This should solve the problem.

I will take care of that, this new format is really time taking and multistep process.
