Tenion between the two giants of subcontinent i.e. Pakistan and India has been increasing terror in the whole region. Both the countries have nuclear weapons and leaders of both the countries have been hinting at the possibility of using the nuclear weapons. One cannot imagine what will be the shape of world after the use of nuclear weapons in the region. The United States and some other countries have been trying to defuse the situation, but still there is threat of war in the region. It is interesting to note that Pakistan is already at with terrorists in tribal areas situated on Pak-Afghan border.
Gilani said that Pakistan’s intelligence agency, Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) has given India information about the Mumbai terror attacks, while denying media speculation of a rift between him and the president.
He told reporters the ISI, ‘had given feedback and information sharing that has been passed on to India’ after studying that evidence. He gave no more information.
Media reports suggested President Asif Ali Zardari was not informed of the decision, intensifying earlier speculation of a split between the country’s top two leaders.
‘There is no misunderstanding,’ Gilani insisted to reporters Friday while denying reports that Zardari had expressed displeasure with the decision.
A spokesman for Zardari said on Thursday that the two were ‘on the same page’ and it was Gilani’s prerogative to fire the adviser, Mahmud Ali Durrani.
‘Our ISI has given their feedback,’ Gilani told reporters.
He did not elaborate but said Pakistan would cooperate if more information was required.
Gilani said he had sacked the adviser, Mahmud Ali Durrani, in the interests of the country and of governance and denied the affair had created a rift with President Zardari.
Meanwhile, he called for peaceful resolution and de-escalation of tension with India.
‘The world must not let tensions between India and Pakistan escalate,’ the Pakistani prime minister told a seminar on democracy in Islamabad.
He described the situation at the India-Pakistan border as ‘very fragile’ but said Pakistan’s ‘quest for enhancing peace and security in South Asia remains sincere and steadfast.’
Gilani said India had rejected Pakistan’s proposals for cooperation on the investigation into the attacks.
New Delhi said the long-running peace process with Pakistan, launched in 2004, had been put on hold – a move Gilani described Friday as ‘regrettable’.
‘Pakistan has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the dialogue process with India,’ he said.
‘It was and still remains our earnest hope that an improved state of relations between Pakistan and India could provide a precious opportunity to work for the resolution of difficult issues, particularly the Kashmir issue’.
Dell Dailey, the State Department’s counter terrorism coordinator, told reporters in Washington on Tuesday that the United States had not seen any move of Pakistanis forces from western border regions to the east ‘in any degree that’s measurable.’
He said Pakistan moved troops to the eastern border in 2002, when it went to the brink of a fourth war with India.
‘We do not want that to happen again and we’ll do as much as we can to prevent it,’ Dailey said.

The tensions have always been there VP, if not they would not have made nuclear bombs. They argue about religion, and I am telling you they gave up their religion when they acquired nuclear bombs. Their religion is the Nuclear Bomb...there is no mistake about it. They believe the bomb will vindicate their cause, with the illogical thinking that they prevent war. Clearly they know it doesn't. But instead of being smart and dismantling Nuclear Weapons they play with destruction on a massive scale. India and Pakistan are without a doubt both worshippers and seekers of the the God of the Atomic Bombs. They are no longer Hindu and Muslim.. They are both traitors to their faith and origin of life.
