London (ANTARA News) - Indonesia is exploring cooperation in research with Croatia, First Secretary of the Indonesian embassy in Budapest, Arena Sri Victoria, told ANTARA on Sunday.
Victoria said the chance for Indonesia and Croatia to expand cooperation in research became wide open when Indonesian Ambassador to Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina and Macedonia, Mangasi Sihombing visited Croatian Ruder Boskovic Institute.
According to Victoria, the Indonesian ambassador was received by Ruder Boskovic Institute`s director general Prof. Dr. Mladen Zinic on the sidelines of the institute`s open days activities.
Ambassador Sihombing told Croatian physicists about the Indonesian desire to establish cooperation between Indonesian and Croatian research institutions.
On the occasion, Drazen Vikic Topic, state secretary of Croatian Ministry for Science, Education and Sports Affairs, said he supported the establishment of a research cooperation between the two countries.
"The chance for cooperation in the research and education sector became wide open with the presence of Drazen Vikic Topic at the meeting," Arena Sri Victoria said.
Dr Mladen Zinic was quoted as saying that his research institute had also collaborated with a number of research institutions in Europe and the United States.
The Croatian institute comprised a Center for Marine Research, Center for Informatics, and a Computing and Center for Nuclear Magnetic Resource. (*) end
