Insulted by theft charges, woman kills child and ends life

Hyderabad: A woman has killed her one-and-a-half-year-old child and ended her life as she could not bear the insult of being suspected for theft in Kamareddi town of Andhra Pradesh state on Thursday.

            According to police, Bharati (26), the woman was making livelihood by ironing clothes. Some twenty day ago, some of the clothes she brought from customers were stolen. She was suspected by the customers who gave complaint to the police. Police interrogated her. Apart from this, her in laws have also started insulting her as she was called by the  police as a suspect in a theft case. Unable to bear this insult, she gave pesticide to her child and consumed it herself. Both died.
