The International Institute of Nonviolence
The International Institute of Nonviolence.
By: Rev. Jermano
I am remaking the announcement to open The International Institute of Nonviolence. The Founding Fathers are Jesus of Nazareth and his honest people, Mahandas Gandhi, Thomas Merton, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Aung San Suu Kyi, AJ Muste, myself, and others. It is not a Religious Institute, but a Society Institute that looks to religion and ethics as the main direction and outlook that States and Nations should adopt in their on going duties and development.
Our mission and goals for people are to understand about instituting nonviolence in society.
There is nothing defenseless people can do about genocide anyway. America killed more people in stopping Saddam with his killing than his initial killing of people. So in my opinion needing force as an excuse to stop genocide is not an answer or solution.
In fact the UN and its peace keeping force does use violence as its repretoire in achieving peace. Using violence against itself does not work, never has, and never will work. Bush was right the UN was irrevelant, but not for the right reasons. Bush wanted more force used, when in fact if I had it my way, my reform efforts would be to get rid of the UN Peace Keeping Force, and go strictly toward nonviolence action.
I have started The International Institute of Nonviolence to replace the UN, because the UN is so out of touch with the education parameters people should learn. Also the US being the biggest arms trafficker and trader does not help stop violence. In fact it increases the trouble. Guns sales and arms trading would be banned.
I would do education to the value in not supporting militaries, not owning guns, and actually doing my best to discredit any arms enforcement organizations. they do no work. Just because the President says he has the right to use force with the use of the military to enact their agenda, does not mean it works, nor does it create trust to the people.
There is always more war and conflict. Even inside the USA who claims the right to bear arms, surely does not stop violence, or reduce crime. America is one crime scene after another.
The International Institute of Nonviolence is a wanted and needed Organization in the world. It just takes time for people to see the light and wisdom of this Institute. I hope you will join me in the effort.People throughout the world will understand the lives of Jesus, Mahandas Gandhi, Thomas Merton, Rev.Martin Luther King, AJ Muste, Nelson Mandela, and Desmond Tutu and Aung San Suu Kyi. We will understand that Rev. King is one of the Founding Fathers of America with Thomas Merton, and AJ Muste because they brought civil rights to the people, especially Black Americans. They are leaders who practiced and preached nonviolence. Rev. King gave his life for it. We have seen how past and present Presidents of the United States who support violence to push their agendas are not examples to leadership nor meet the qualifications toward achievement and success.
We want people in America and around the world to become members to The International Institute of Nonviolence established by Jesus of Nazareth, Mahandas Gandhi, Aung San Suu Kyi, Thomas Merton Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., and AJ Muste. We will learn different languages, and seek to understand the means and ways to root out racism in our society. We learn about perseverance, patience, reconciliation, and culture. It is my hope to get support in developing this Nondenominational International Institute for Nonviolence.
Our International goals are to inform about true history, and show how violence in the world’s time of history toward today has failed. We teach the good ideals to not owning a gun, and not supporting objectives or Institutes that say guns stop crimes and wars. Clearly they don't.
The International Institute of Nonviolence helps people achieve their careers as informers in the field of nonviolence and become living modern day examples of Jesus, Mahandas, Merton, Rev. King, Aung San Suu Kyi, and AJ. We are an Institute of hope, and with this; have faith that people will come to learn and be members to this benevolent Institution. We are the place to go and support instead of the military. Instead of military training and obstacle courses, we have picnic activities, grow gardens have sports, and inform toward self awareness. We support kids, students, adults in their development.
I ask you for help in developing, by joining Rev. King and Thomas Merton, Gandhi, Aung San Suu Kyi, and AJ Muste at the Institute. Our goal is to start from online websites building a consensus of support. We have no such International Institution in the United States or in the World for that matter, and people tend to think Religious Denominational Universities fill that need. Clearly they don't, when most Religions in the USA appear to support violence and acts of War, when their governments take them to the brink. To me they are not religions.
The International Institute of Nonviolence makes it clear of what we do and what we support. I hope to hear from everyone and your board members to begin this great Nonviolence Institute so we as a people have a place in our hearts to focus on in concern to correct living principles established by Jesus of Nazareth, Mahandas Gandhi, Thomas Merton, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Aung San Suu Kyi, and AJ Muste. I look forward to hear from you. djermano@yahoo.com
