$900.000 Life savings gone ?
The Indiana Department of Insurance had filed a complaint against Schrenker on behalf of seven investors last January that claimed he cost them more than $250,000 because he never told them they would face high fees to switch annuities. Investors said he cozied up to their families — then betrayed them. "We've learned over time that he's a pathological liar — you don't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth," said Charles Kinney, a 49-year-old airline pilot from Atlanta who went to regulators on behalf of his parents, who invested $900,000 of their life savings with him
.Schrenker bleeding when he was found
Schrenker was found at a campsite near Quincy, Florida, with "deep cuts on his wrists," according to a statement by a Florida-based U.S. Marshals Service task force. Schrenker was bleeding profusely when about 20 officers approached his tent, said Deputy U.S. Marshal John Beeman. Schrenker was treated at the scene and then taken to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, authorities said. Schrenker was charged in Hamilton County, Indiana, on Tuesday with unlawful acts by a compensated adviser and unlawful transaction by an investment adviser.

Come on, someone who is willing to go to these lengths needs some mental health counseling and perhaps some time one meds. I suspect he's had a nervous breakdown and is not in his right mind. I hope that they render him compis mentis before his trial, then he really will be able to feel what he deserves to feel, which is worse than those he defrauded.

Paschen, ...He should have planed it better. He couldn't, his wife just divorcing him the day before. That's a reason to jump out of the window, but out of a Cessna ???

Indeed, there must be easier ways to disappear, and without attracting so much media attention. What ever happened to just going out for milk and not coming back?
